Our mission - helping owners make informed decisions about their pet's care. We value offering a spectrum of veterinary care that focuses on client education and transparency in pricing. Not sure if there's a procedure or service we can offer? Just ask!
Does your schedule make it difficult to come in for vet visits? No problem. We offer day admission appointments including bedding, mid-day walks and lots of pets at no additional charge for the visit. Drop off in the morning, pick up after work - easy!
Concerned that your pet may be anxious for their veterinary care? Let us know! Anti-anxiety medications can be prescribed to help reinforce positive associations with each visit.
All pets benefit from competent, compassionate veterinary care--whether they walk, crawl, slither or fly. We are the only area clinic with a residency-trained exotics veterinarian for birds, reptiles, amphibians, and exotic companion mammals.
Radiographic technology has never been cooler - images captured can be instantly evaluated by our doctors, sent to specialists for consultation, and emailed to you. We have experience in OFA xrays both with and without sedation.
The ability to perform an AFAST ultrasound (Abdominal Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma, Triage, and Tracking) can be a valuable extension of the physical exam in an emergency. Mobile sonography also allows us to perform cystocentesis for sterile urine collection, and guided aspirates.
Dental radiology allows us to provide complete oral care and treatment of abscesses, extractions, and for prophylactic maintenance. Our team has extensive experience in extractions for the treatment of stomatitis, treatment of oronasal fistulas and taking comprehensive skull radiographs for our exotic patients.
Our closed surgical suite is outfitted with modern equipment for AAHA-standard patient monitoring by Licensed Veterinary Technicians with previous training in specialty orthopedics - the gold standard in care. Our skilled veterinarians have experience performing many orthopedic surgeries that may traditionally require referral, including:
One benefit to our hospital? We're capable of many surgeries outside of the scope of most general practice clinics. In addition to spay/neuter, our veterinarians are experienced in some of the the following procedures:
Much of exotic animal anesthetic risk is directly correlated with the skill, experience, and monitoring capabilities of a veterinary practice. The subject of sedation - in exotic pets in particular - is clouded with misinformation. Intubation via endoscopy, catheter placement in all species, and exotic-specific induction agents reduces anesthetic risk. Dr. Benson and his trained exotics team are capable of performing many of the same procedures as done in dogs and cats:
